Good to know
Which dice are here?
d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100, on their own pages, plus two and three six-sided dice together. On any of them you can raise the count up to six, and the total is shown under the dice.
Is it fair?
Yes. Each die is drawn separately from the browser’s cryptographic random source before the animation starts, so every face has exactly the same chance and no sequence of rolls can be steered.
Why does the page talk about averages?
Because that is what the numbers of a die are. Every die page computes its own odds — the chance of one face, the average roll, and how many rolls it takes before every face has appeared — so the page is about that die and not about dice in general.
