Your rhythm, in minutes
Good to know
What is this for?
Working in short, timed rounds with a break after each: 25 minutes of focus and 5 of rest is the classic rhythm, often called the pomodoro method. It suits independent work in class, homework and marking alike.
Do I have to press start for every round?
No. When a round ends you hear a chime and the next phase starts by itself. After the last round there is a longer break and the timer stops.
Can I change the lengths?
Yes — focus, break, long break and the number of rounds are all yours to set, and the page remembers them. Younger classes often do better with 15 and 5.
What does “rounds finished today” count?
Focus rounds that ran to the end on this device today. It resets at midnight and is stored only in your browser.
